5 DELIGHTFUL DIVAS & RECOMMENDED READ: “Poppy’s
Pleasure (Assassin’s Pride 2)
is a book that I have been waiting for
Ms. Stormy Glenn
to write and I was not disappointed. The book was wonderful and
everything that I had hoped for.
Poppy’s Pleasure
tells the tale of ex-assassin Dean, best friend of Gage and Noah (book
one) and their rescue attempt of another team member Marcus. When the
rescue takes place, Dean encounters Poppy waiting in the wings to warn
the men of an impending trap. The story takes off from there and
includes mystery, intrigue and love; which is just a snippet of what
occurs…Poppy’s
Pleasure has fast become one of this reviewers favorite
books and I look forward to more in the series. A must read.” –

“Author
Stormy Glenn somehow made a house cat into the most feared creature
around. Yes, these kind, sweet shifters will have the fur flying and the
claws out in a instance if you challenge their mates; and whether Dean
likes it or not he is Poppy’s mate...The conflict in this story is a
driving force. It throws the characters together as well as gives them
something to start to develop a relationship around. It also plays a
role in who they are as individuals as well as together. It also allowed
me to meet a plethora of supporting characters who each had their own
attributes whether good or bad. I was so enthralled with the story that
I had not realized how long it had been, and was not ready for it to
end. I cannot wait to read the next installment of the Assassin’s Pride
Series.” --

5 FALLEN ANGELS:
“This is a fast-paced story with many twists and turns that kept me
entranced from the beginning. As Poppy's story unfolds, the years of
abuse, both physical and mental, were obvious by his attitude of
subservience and frightened demeanor. His refusal to look anyone in the
face because his master would have him beaten for the smallest
infraction gave Dean a clear understanding of the hell he had lived
through. Dean's confusion about what was happening to him and Poppy was
understandable, but in spite of everything, he wanted to keep Poppy with
him and safe. The growing love between Poppy and Dean was beautiful to
experience. Noah played an important part in helping Poppy accept the
changes in him and his new life. The plot developed in a way I never
expected, but very much enjoyed.” -– Teresa,

4.5 KISSES:
“Poppy's
Pleasure
by
Stormy Glenn
is second book in the
Assassin's Pride
series. While it can be read as a standalone, the reader will better
understand the subtleties having read
The Cat's Meow.
Ms. Glenn
crafted a tale which had me
laughing and crying. Poppy has been treated as something less than
human, but still manages to have a wonderfully innocent view of the
world. He understands evil is present and has seen more than his fair
share, but he still manages to enjoy something as simple as licking the
bowl of brownie mix or enjoying the taste of watermelon. You couldn't
help but smile as you read about each new experience. Dean isn't use to
caring about anyone other than his three best friends. He doesn't trust
easily, but he is unable to fight Poppy. Poppy has managed to get under
his skin and crack open his unused protective instincts. He re-learns
about the good in people and the world, while at the same time showing
Poppy that he is his own master. This story is a wonderful addition to
this series and I am looking forward to where
Ms. Glenn
will take us next.” – Tangie,

4 STARS:
“There is a good amount of action in the story and the continuation of a
plot line that will lead to great sequels. The writing was good, the
story is exciting and the sex between Dean and Poppy was hot. I am
particularly pleased in Ms. Glenn’s portrayal of Poppy. His wide eyed
innocence and naivete could have been very juvenile and annoying, yet he
never came across that way to me. I wanted to hug the man for the bad
things that have happened to him and I cheered for him while finding his
independence and self worth. I really enjoyed this book very much, even
more than the first book and that doesn’t happen to me very often. I am
looking forward to seeing Marcus in the next installment in the
Assassin’s Pride series.” –- Maya,
Hearts on Fire Reviews
“As much fun
as the first book, this sequel continues the story of the unusual cat
shifters who recently discovered their true king (Noah). Both Noah and
his mate, Gage are back, but this book focuses on Dean (Gage's friend)
and a man he rescues when looking for traces of another friend of
theirs. The mix of tension and humor is well-balanced, but this book
leans more toward the suspense as more dark machinations are
discovered…Like Noah and Gage, Poppy and Dean entertained me, making me
follow their amazing discoveries and adventures through sheer force of
personality and quirkiness. They fell for each other in very different
ways, but they are clearly meant to be together. If you like unusual
shifters, action/adventure and a lot of revelations that show an even
bigger conspiracy than book one, and if you enjoy a mentally strong but
physically weaker male being protected by a strong alpha male, then you
will probably like this book as much as I did.” – Serena Yates,
