loved Darren’s whole, “yeah, prove it, big guy!” stance. Totally had me
cracking up in a lot of places. I also really loved the tenderness that Asher
shows towards Darren and his willingness to show his soft side to him. The
strength of both these characters is a testament to their strength of
character, and this shows through many times throughout the book. The world
building definitely takes a completely different tone from Ms. Glenn’s other
werewolf books, but in a very good way. This is truly one of the things that
kept me coming back for more, the fact that she can take an idea or theme and
create vastly different worlds and stories around it. Not all authors have
that ability, but Ms. Glenn has it in spades. This is definitely a wonderful
start to a whole new series and I for one am waiting with baited breath for

I must admit that this book had me at
“Stormy Glenn”. I’ve enjoyed her other shifter series and was
eager to read this new one. Interestingly, with
Heart Song,
Ms.
Glenn changed the werewolf rules a bit, making this book even
more interesting and less predictable. A collection of werewolves is no longer
a pack, it is a clan, babies can shift and the differences go on from there.
This is not the pat werewolf finds his human mate and everyone lives happily
ever after fairytale. It has mystery, romance, tension, kidnappers, killers,
and enough crazy people to populate a psychiatric ward…Heart
Song sang to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to the
rest of the series to see more of
Ms.
