It is not a complete standalone, so I recommend reading all the books in this series in order to grasp everything that is going on in this one. I loved the action-adventure, the suspense, and the heart and soul Ms. Glenn put into Redemption. It offers the reader everything desired of a romance novel...and more. However, Julian is tortured in this book, so know that this book is not for the faint of heart. He also has a very dark scene that some readers might find objectionable. However, I think both scenes add a depth and layer of emotion that is critical to this story. When you want to read a book you will remember, I highly recommend Redemption.
